I feel like these child portraits are so beautiful and SIMPLE. There’s no background to distract you from them and their adorable personalities. As my business changed, I knew I wanted to keep it simple and nothing say simple like a colored backdrop.
In Home Santa Photo Session I did an in home Santa photo session for Kaycee and her kids last year and they turned out absolutely adorable. Since she couldn’t make to the specific dates, she offered her home so we wouldn’t have to stress about finding a studio and they turned out so great! The […]
In case you didn’t know, doing family sessions in the studio are my new favorite thing! I had a studio in Draper that I had set up exactly how I wanted it. Over the years, I’ve done it all and have discovered that I like the more simple look.
Lately I’ve been toying around with the idea of doing some mentoring for newborn sessions. I have been super lucky and have worked with the cutest little babies. But because I don’t do newborn sessions often enough, I feel like I need to spend more time learning to wrap properly and be efficient with my sessions. It’s funny how difficult swaddling can be with little wiggly worms like a 3-4 week old baby.
Something I love about Great Saltair for photos is how much variety you can get in just one hour. You can get photos in front of the main building, out on the sand where it’s got the blank canvas look and even some greenery. I feel like I don’t do sessions enough here but, I feel this way about every location in Utah. It’s just never enough!
Mom and me session are one of my absolute favorite sessions to do. When Sarah booked her session, we talked about her being in a few photos and I’m so glad she did! Not only is she a gorgeous mama but look at all that love she’s getting. These are moments I dream of catching and hope mom treasures forever.
For the longest time, I’ve been wanting to do more jean maternity session in the studio. You can imagine my excitement when I got to do 2 jean maternity sessions back to back! This mama is the sweetest person and I’m so excited for her and her first little one.
One of the things I’ve been wanting to improve on, is taking black and white headshots. I don’t know what it is about them but I love everything about them. Again, one of the things that has changed the last few years. When I started, I was all about color and avoided doing anything black and white. And now I get giddy when I headshots in the studio so I can play with black and white images.
When it comes to kids, I want to make sessions as comfortable as possible. Because weather here can be so unpredictable, I wanted to offer portrait sessions in studio. There’s just something about studio sessions that takes away the stress
When this mama came in, she told me she didn’t have any photos of her kids together and smiling. So naturally, I made that my goal through the session. To give his mama great photos of her kids together. When it comes to little kids, it can be hard to get their focus but that doesn’t mean getting photos you want is impossible.
