Utah Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

Lately I’ve been toying around with the idea of doing some mentoring for newborn sessions. I have been super lucky and have worked with the cutest little babies. I’m excited to add Utah Lifestyle Newborn Photographer to my list!

But because I don’t do newborn sessions often enough, I feel like I need to spend more time learning to wrap properly and be efficient with my sessions. It’s funny how difficult swaddling can be with little wiggly worms like a 3-4 week old baby. But to be fair, I was never great at swaddling my own kids so I definitely need the practice.

Swaddled and simple

The main thing I focus on during a newborn session is making baby comfortable. I arrived at the studio to start the heater hoping it would be warm enough for when Emily arrived with her peanut. I’ve learned that the warmer it its, the happier baby will be. While it wasn’t as warm as I would have liked, she did great and we got some adorable photos of her.

Getting that profile photo

There’s just something I love about gettin good profile! With little ones growing so fast, I love getting a great profile photo for you to keep as they get older.

If you’ve been following me for a little bit, you know that I will always encourage you get in the photo. Even if it’s a photo you don’t share or put up on a wall, I PROMISE- you will be so happy you have it later. You’ll be so happy you have memories of them being teeny tiny and fitting in your hand. These are moments that fly by and before you know it, they’re walking, driving and going to college.
