I met Sariah on Instagram and was so happy when she decided to schedule a session. I had just got my studio in Draper and couldn’t wit to break it in with some cute mom session. As I move towards more child portraits, I have all these ideas in my head on how I want them to look like. I hope you enjoy this mom and me studio session!
You guys, I am so excited to finally be able to offer Santa photos this year! For years I’ve been wanting to do these but it’s never worked out. Finally the stars have aligned. I’m so happy to present my Santa photos in Draper studio! He’s the sweetest Santa you’ll ever meet and so great with the kids!
It’s nice and chilly here in Utah . So I’m posting this fun senior session to remind myself the warmer days! It’s been so fun meeting Herriman seniors this year. When did they get so pretty and dress so well? They definitely didn’t make seniors like this back in my day.
Changing directions is always scary and this has been no different. I decided a long time ago that I wanted to do more studio work and do less outdoor sessions. So I’ve been slowly transitioning to being a Utah studio photographer. When I say slowly, this his literally been 2 years in the making. I’ve purchased different lighting, equipment, classes and workshops just to get the look I want.
I introduce you to…. Puppy sessions! The last few months I’ve really learned to love studio sessions and the consistency it provides. When Spencer reached out with the idea of doing a session with dogs, I was 100% on board. Did I think I would ever be a puppy photographer? Nope! Do I think it’s something I’m going to star offering? YES!
As my life changes, my business continues to evolve and change to match my current lifestyle. As much as a I love weddings, I’ve decided to step back from doing them as a main photographer. Being a single mom, working full time and having my kids getting older- my goal is to spend more time with them. They’re also doing sports now and my GOODNESS that is time consuming! Haha
already had an idea in mind. I was so excited when we started talking about locations and she mentioned wanting to do them at Tunnel Springs.
With fall just around the corner, its time to plan for fall photos! I’ve know this adorable family for a couple years now and I had the best time with them and seeing their little lady walking more and less of a teeny baby this time around. We did these last year at Big Cottonwood Canyon and while the leaves hadn’t changed yet, I still love how they turned out!
Anytime a family member, a friend or anyone I know asks me to take their photos- it seems to hit differently.
It feels like the biggest compliment that they believe and trust in me enough to capture a special moment. I think it also has to do with the fact that they’ve seen my growth as a photographer over the years. Especially Jen. When I first got started in photography, her son Max was actually one of the first little kiddo I photographed! If you go back far enough, I bet you can find the session somewhere.
This adorable couple messaged me to do their engagement session and I was absolutely thrilled when they suggested doing the session at the Utah State Capitol. I actually photographed a wedding there several years ago and have always wanted to do an engagement session there.
It was one of our cooler spring days, add in some wind and it made for a chilly engagement session but these two did so great!
