It’s nice and chilly here in Utah . So I’m posting this fun senior session to remind myself the warmer days! It’s been so fun meeting Herriman seniors this year. When did they get so pretty and dress so well? They definitely didn’t make seniors like this back in my day.

Changing directions is always scary and this has been no different. I decided a long time ago that I wanted to do more studio work and do less outdoor sessions. So I’ve been slowly transitioning to being a Utah studio photographer. When I say slowly, this his literally been 2 years in the making. I’ve purchased different lighting, equipment, classes and workshops just to get the look I want.

As my life changes, my business continues to evolve and change to match my current lifestyle. As much as a I love weddings, I’ve decided to step back from doing them as a main photographer. Being a single mom, working full time and having my kids getting older- my goal is to spend more time with them. They’re also doing sports now and my GOODNESS that is time consuming! Haha

With fall just around the corner, its time to plan for fall photos! I’ve know this adorable family for a couple years now and I had the best time with them and seeing their little lady walking more and less of a teeny baby this time around. We did these last year at Big Cottonwood Canyon and while the leaves hadn’t changed yet, I still love how they turned out!

This adorable couple messaged me to do their engagement session and I was absolutely thrilled when they suggested doing the session at the Utah State Capitol. I actually photographed a wedding there several years ago and have always wanted to do an engagement session there.

It was one of our cooler spring days, add in some wind and it made for a chilly engagement session but these two did so great!

I’ve known Natalie for a few years now and was so honored when she asked me to photograph her adorable family. The best part was she wanted to do them at Little Sahara sand dunes and it had been a while since I’d gone out there for a session.

The session turned out beautiful and I can’t wait to go back and do more sessions there!

This gorgeous couple emailed me about doing their session at Little Sahara and I could not have been more excited. I don’t do sessions here often because it is quite the drive but it is so worth it! If you’re considering doing your session here, DO IT. Yo won’t be disappointed. Just be sure to take lots of snacks!

I’ve known Amber for a few years now through work and felt so dang lucky that she asked me to photographer her engagement photos. We started at Tavernacle Social Club which is a Piano Bar because that’s where their first date was. How cute is that?!
