Jordan Pines Family Session

Jordan Pines Family Session

Every fall, Jordan Pines becomes a zoo and it’s easy to see why. No matter the season, it’s a gorgeous place to go to for photos. While we knew it was going to be cold, I think both Zoraya and I were surprised by how cold it was. Regardless of the weather, their Jordan Pines family session turned out beautiful. The girls weren’t having the best time but we still got some adorable family photos! I loved having the subtle signs of all in the background.

Stay Flexible

When doing portraits of all the kids in a family, things don’t always go as planned. Especially when we do them outside. That just means we need to get creative when we have young ones. Since I’ve been working with kids for a few years now, I’ve learned to work fast. With these, we had dad hold baby sister for her portrait sessions since she’s too little to stand on her own and it worked great! We love a chunky baby.

And sometimes, they’re a bit older but they’re just not feeling the whole individual photo thing. That’s totally fine! Here we had mom hold little sister to get a photo that focused on her. Sometimes you just have to take what the little ones will give us. At the end of the day, we want to capture their personalities during that session and I feel like this is a perfect example.

For winter sessions, make sure to bundle up!

Poor babes, they were so cold but they were total troopers! With family sessions, I love getting photos of the kids with each parent. How adorable is this girl dad??
