Since we can never have too many indoor activities, here’s my top 7 indoor pools near Salt Lake City! I’ll go over my favorites for Northern Utah and Utah County, later. As with any pool, please keep your kids at arms length at all times and make use of any life jackets provided if you can’t bring your own. Safety first always!
Murray City Activity Pool is a great indoor pool. There’s a lazy river, water toy features, an in-water jungle gym, a 3-story water slide (riders must be at least 48″ tall to ride the slide), bubble couches and lots more. They offer a drop in fee that ranges from $1 to $5 and a punch card option. You can find more information by clicking here.
Fairmont Aquatic Center has a leisure pool with slides and interactive play and a lap pool! They offer free entry to those 2 & under as well as 80 & over. Similiar to most pools, their fees range from $2 to $7 and they offer punch passes as well as 30 day passes. Plenty of options for all families!
The South Jordan Indoor Pool has a leisure pool with a large water slide (must be 48” or taller), smaller water slide for the younger children an interactive play structures, lazy river, and 2 lap lanes. Similar fees as above, you can learn about the different fee options here.
Kearns Oquirrh Park actually has 3 indoor pools! The Indoor Recreation Pool includes a water slide, children’s play feature, “current canal” and water basketball hoop. The depth ranges from 1.5 to 6 ft. The Indoor Competition Pool includes a water basketball hoop, open water play area and is the the location for our Wibit water obstacle course during the fall, winter and spring months. The 50 Meter Pool serves many purposes throughout the year including year round access to lap swimming, summer open plunge, water polo leagues, high school swim meets and many other special event uses. Great for older kids!
Like most indoor pools, Lehi City Aquatic Center is open year-round! It has retractable walls and ceiling so it opens up during the summer giving that outdoor feel while protecting you from the sun. There’s an 8-lane lap pool, a leisure pool, lazy river, toddler pool, and many other features like hot tubs and bubble couches. In my opinion, great for older and younger kids.
Located on the west side, Gene Fullmer Indoor Pool has an indoor leisure pool with bubble bench & current channel. There’s also playhouse feature, waterslide, tulip water feature, 86° water temperature and ADA Accessibility. There’s a lap pool with (6) 25 yard lap lanes, a depth range 4-9 ft and a basketball hoop! Similar fees to the rec pools above. I’d say best suited for younger kids.
Lastly, Dimple Dell Recreation center also has a leisure pool like most rec centers as as interactive play structure, zero depth to 3.5 feet deep, bubble couch and 2 story water slide. This one is definitely best suited for younger kids. Similar fees to rec pools above.
